Pasta On The Go

Micro Cave

Usually if I can, I reheat something from dinner for Nathans lunch. A nice big warm lunch always fits his appetite. We have been working on patience while preparing these meals considering it consists of me placing them in the microwave. Seeing his food disappear into this small white humming object upsets him very much. Today was a time for change. I guess he learned that this American revolution of an object was not eating or taking away his food, but actually making it better then before. Nathan actually wanted to push the start button and watch the food go round and round. Ahhhh another milestone of the child hood mind completed.

Grrrrrrrr

Lions and tigers and bears oh my! I think the panda bears were stalking the elephant. What do you think?

Monster!!!!!

Nathan found one of Jamie's ACU under shirts and started his monster routine.

Little Hulk Hogan

Jamie came home and Nate was in a crazy mood, so I took advantage of the situation and we got him to do his little Hogan move.
Tonight, he was sitting waiting for us to sit down for dinner and he started scooping food onto Jamies plate. I asked Nate, "Why does da da get served first?" Jamie just laughed and Nate joined in. Its little moments like that, that just make me love my fam so much!

A Step Down

Well Nates potty training is going quite well. He has religiously been wearing boxers for a little over a week now with only a few wees here and there. . Hes now into standing at the potty instead of using his little stool to stand on. When he pulls his boxers up he does this little hop and jump dance. Jamie and I had a real hoot about it last night. He bends over holding onto the boxers and pauses for the longest time. Then he pops up with them and says, "mmmm baaa" It kinda reminds me of the bend and snap from the movie Legally Blonde. .

Poo Patrol

Nathan is my little poo patrol guard. As soon as. he is out that backyard door, he is searching for something. On his agenda for the moment he looks for Sylas' poos and then grabs my hand to lead me to them. Usually there only consists of one, but that is still too many in Nathans eyes. First response is, "Eeeewwww" He grabs the poo scoopers, hands them to me, walks over to the evidence and says, "mamma peek up" That is just what we do. Then all worries are over and he continues to play. He is also very observant when it comes to this doo duty. If I just happen to miss one he wont let me forget. I will hear a shreaking, "MISS MAMMA MISS" Then back to the scooper we go.
When Jamie asks me what I did today, "Oh....I had doo duty today." Im thinking maybe we can put an add in the paper, "Doo inspector at your service." Gotta love him ha ha ha.

Pre College Dorm Exercises

Created in 1877 Quaker Oats was. established but not profitable. Purchased by a savvy business man in 1881, in less then 10 years, those rolled oats you enjoy today had turned in a $500,000 business; top dollar for the 19th century business. In fact, from these original rolled oats, the oats you eat today, has changed very little from that original product developed in the late 19th century.

About 60 people showed up for the canoe trip!. We had to be at the Walmart parking lot at 0445AM. . We stood around as a crowed while others showed up. Someone gave Nathan a water gun and told him to shoot the sergeants. Everyone had a good laugh with that one.
Nathan did not move an inch when he was first placed in the canoe. The trip was a nine miles down stream with a wide range of tree stumps and mini rapids. I was in ''freak-out-mode'' hearing the news of 5 other canoes that had turned over. The good news is that the water in most parts was only waist deep. There were plenty of sand dunes throughout the ''crik'' to stop and fish, swim, or change a dirty diaper.
2 hours later we ended at the barbecue. It was 12:00 already and poor sugar bear was very tired. Jamie took him out into the water, and Nates first reaction was, "brrrrrr" He built some sandcastles, through some leaves in the water, pet some dogs, and ate good barbecue.
