Hey Pay Attention To Me

Ash is the lazy lover kitty who just wants you to pet his tummy. Jamie came home from the field at 1:30 this morning and sat on the couch to take his boots off. Ash comes over and plops right infront of him wanting his tummy scratched. It was the cutest thing. Remmy on the other hand is a little more demanding. If you dont pet him he will either stare at you meowing or crawl up and sit on your shoulder meowing in your ear. If that still doesnt work he will take his paw and gently bat at the side of your face. As soon as you start petting him the purr machine starts and he hops down to sit in your lap. If you stop petting him he gets aggrivated and starts the process all over again. Still the cutest thing So Nate was watching cartoons and Remmy wanted attention. So there he is starring at Nate wanting some attention

Sylas is home! This past week has been surprisingly good. I think the kitties have really helped alot.

Nate Doing Laundry

I was woken up this morning to the washer going.....I figured maybe Jamie had something going but when I opened it up there was a medium sized load of Nates clothes in there. There was also a few suds of soap. Scratching my head I realized Nate had started a load of his clothes.
He comes around the corner, "Mornin mom!!!" it was the cutest thing.
Later after breakfast he made his way up stairs and I heard him open the lid, "laundries done!" so he started putting it in the dryer. I went up there and he was cleaning the lint tray out, poped a dryer sheet in there and then asked if I could turn it on for him.
I squeezed him hard and kissed him all over and told him how proud I was of him.
I can now say Nate has graduated in the laundry department

FREE FISH!!!!!!!

wow I am so excited about this fish I snagged! Its coming in today and I cant wait! Im nervous as they are a hard species to care for but as we all know im the fish geek. :) its a Copperband Butterfly from Indio Pacific. I have to put him in my small tank to make sure he doesnt come down with the all too famous Ich (white spot disease) I cant risk infecting my display tank fishies. Had that happen too many times. My Dori Fishy is very proan to getting it and hes so healthy and eating like a pig I would hate to risk him. The little neighbor girl would be sad if her Dori fish died. So the challenge is on!

Busy Weekend

We have had a busy weekend!
Saturday morning we went to the on post Cajun Fest! Jamie had to work but Nate had so much fun riding the ponies and jumping on the bouncies. He had his first dip n dots!
Saturday evening my friend and I drove to pick up a couple new babies for the Reed house hold. Our new little beginning family members Ash and Remmy. They have already made themselves at home next to Jamie on the couch. :)
This morning we headed down to the beach with some friends. We got a late start so we did not stay long but we got to see some of the distruction from huricain katrina. Alot of mail boxes with no homes in site. Cars buried half way under the ground. People who did rebuild built their homes on these insane high stilt like structures. Very interesting..... We had fun swimming in the semi warm water. It was pretty shallow for awhile so Nate was able to boogie board safely. Towards the end of the day Jamie, Pam, and I waided out to this rock structure to get some snails and crabs. We got about 50 of them and they are crawling around in my holding tank as I type.
On the way home we saw an aligator in a water way on the side of the road. Then the guys stopped to see a large one on the side of the road.
We had a great weekend though a rough one to start and made some good memories.

Um.....OK

There is this blog called kidscuisine.com and they make fun things for kids to eat. I am not sure I like this idea. Its an actual cake.....I dont care how hungry I am I could not bring myself to eat this even IF it had ice cream in it! Considering kids can get deathly ill from cat poo I think this is a bad idea but that is just my two cents

Super Duper Light Shoes

Grammy and Papa sent Nate his box with his Super Duper Light Shoes! He was so excited and we took him outside so he could run up and down the drive way watching his shoes light up. We built a house with the legs though I had to add some extra support beams LOLOL

Oh How The Cookie Crumbles

Oliver will sleep with anyone who sits on the couch. It was so adorable to see him completely out right next to Nate while he was watching TV. Poor Jamie says that the fish, dog, and cat eat better then he does. As you can see I got some human looking cookies at petco. For Sylas ofcourse.... Well I set the bag on the floor when I came home and when I walk back into the living room my dearest husband is munching away at these cookies. I stood there and kept the most serious face I could and said, "Um...honey why are you eating those?" "Hey you cant put cookies in this house and expect me not to eat some" "Well I know but um...do you know what those are?" "yea their cookies" So I let him keep munching away and called one of my friends up. "Hey you wont believe what Jamie is doing!!!" So I gave the phone to him and let my friend tell him what he was doing. To save his humiliation HAHA he said, "Yea well their pretty good" HAHAHA The funny part about this story is not that my husband was eating dog treats but that I used to eat these same cookies when I worked for the SPCA of Texas. A lady used to make them and all the staff would eat them HAHA

Fishin & Park

We went fishing and to the park with friends. Had a great time the weather was perfect. We found a huge orange koi in the pond and we all wanted to try and catch it. Nate caught a couple little ones but they were not biting too good. As much as I tried to play on the toys it just did not work.......too many twinkies.....
