Fishin

Went fishing with a few friends and actually had luck today. Did not have any big bites but Nate was sure reeling them in on his new Cars fishing pole. He tried to save the worms by letting them go. Then had to explain to me that they were snakes and not worms. "Danger mama snake..danger" They restocked the lake yesterday, but they said they will probably start biting in a couple days. We will probably go back out this weekend once they have settled.

Jamie Update

Well I was able to talk to Jamie online for the last couple of days. He said because of the place he is located and his mission there will not be alot of photos if any. I guess they are doing jail guard stuff like on detanies. The good news is that they dont do alot of patrol in the streets which makes me really happy.
His room is enough space for his bed, a shelf, and his computer chair HAHA. I told my freinds that I was going to send him a gell air freshener and they just laughed at me and thought I was crazy considering the enviroment. I asked Jamie what he needed right now and he said he wants some air fresheners. I laugehd thinking, "I knew it!" There is not a flea or bug problem so that is good.
Other then that he seems to be doing really good.

Nate was showing me the contents of his pack pack. He caries it with him everywhere and tells me that he is going to school.

Jamie's B Day

Well Jamie's birthday is fast approaching (27) and I just got his address yesterday! I have been scrambling trying to figure out something that I can send him even though it will take probably up to 10 days to get there. Then I found this website. It gives you the recipe for cake in a jar. I am so excited now! Nate and I are both going to go shopping tomorrow and get everything. Nate and I will let you know how they turn out.

Well we made them today. It was actually easy and fun. I made an extra one so that we could eat it to make sure it turned out right and it was sooooo good. I dont have the cute flag stuff on mine like this example but he will enjoy them so much.

I GOT THE CALL

Well I did the all traditional Army wife thing. I missed the first call. I had just walked into the door and I hear the answer machine click. Sure enough it was him. He sounded bummed on the phone and i was concerned. He called back 15 minutes later and I was so happy! He is doing ok, they have been doing alot of training. He said they will move onto their next 'destination' tomorrow or within the week. He got to talk to Nate and Nate knew right off the bat that it was his daddy. He screamed, "DADA!!!" then started running around the house with the phone screaming.
Im sooooo excited!!! I cant wait to see him on webcam and be able to talk to him!

New Toy

This is the best Happy Meal toy ever! Nate loves this Batman shooting car toy. It has a piece that shoots out from the car by a button. Nate was very good at not shooting the animals.

Lets Go Fishin!

Woke up this morning and the first thing that Nate said was, "mama I wanna go fishin" so I figured we could go in the evening. Nate asked to go fishing all day long. He was serious about this fishin trip. He took his nap faster then ever just with the words, "As soon as you wake up from your nap we will go fishin." He was out like a light bulb.
So Bobbi and Curt and I headed to the kids catfish cove to see what Nate could snag.
Nate was excited and had fun throwing rocks in the water, reeling the pole in, and walking around. We got a couple bites, but nothing to reel in.
Nate had a blast though and I am sure we will do it again.

Deployment Thoughts

I heard from Jamie through email couple days ago. He said he is doing good and they are close to getting to their destination.

I was hesitating on the last load of his ACUs. Yea its been over due on his laundry but every time I passed the basket I kept putting off and putting it off.
As I was loading his uniforms I did the all traditional Army wife thing. I smelled the collar of the last shirt I put in the washer. I never thought that diesel fuel and cologne could smell so good.

Mr J and Nate

My little vet tech in the making. Nathan wanted to listen to Mr. Js heart the other day before he went to bed. Mr. J went over to snooze with Sylas and Nate wanted his picture taken.
Mr. J had an episode of severe anemia but has suppliments and is back to his ol self again.
Now I know what the mean with the 9 lives! HA

Its good to know they found a good home.

Back To The Ol Cross Stitch

I am determined to finish this before Jamie gets home! I think I started this back in 2000 (mom is that right?) Once I get working on it I cant put it down. Its so old I feel like I should buy myself a congratulations balloon or something when I finish it!
I remember going into the store and seeing the other part to this cross stitch. Its these foals all grown up in the same order in front of the same barn. I would not be able to do it because i KNOW I would probably get bored of doing the same theme. I must say it would look cute on the wall set up that way.

Listen

Nathan 'baby' has been with him from day one. I cant recall him ever going to bed without it. There for awhile we started loosing track of baby. I got so concerned that I washed it and put it in his keep sake box. Poor Nate could not sleep or cope without it so I decided that there would be a restriction to keep baby in the house at all times. No more trips outside with baby, no more trips to Sunday school with baby. Baby was officially grounded. Couple weeks ago baby went missing. We got so busy that I never took the time to really look for it. Now that Jamie is away I have been doing alot of what I call OCD cleaning (HAHAHA) to keep me busy. I set forth on a mission that I accepted. I was determined to find this baby. I looked EVERYWHERE in the house where Nate had hidden it in the past. Pots n pans, linen closet, drawers, you name it I looked at or in it. No baby could be found so I started to panic to the point that I thought I was going to cry. So I stopped in my tracks and did what I should have done in the first place.......I prayed.....the first thing that popped in my head was, "check the dog toy box" I argued "no no it cant be in there I just picked those up numerous times last week and baby has been missing for WEEKS." So I kept looking and prayed again......."look in the dog toy box" I argued with that 3 maybe 4 times until finally I went over and looked inside the dog toy box. There it was. I picked it up and starred at it. Nathan comes over, "I FOUND BABY" and snatches it out of my hands and runs away. I was still standing there in aw. I think everyone has had this moment where they loose something. God tells us where it is but we deny it until finally we check and there it is. Wow what an eye opener. Thank you Lord for helping me find Nates baby although I was being a little too stubborn about it. :)

Update

Jamie made it to Maine and is heading into Germany now. He might be able to call when he gets to Germany, but if not it will be when he gets to his duty station.
Depending on how well things go we might hear from him sooner then expected.

He Is On His Way

Went to the company 'early' this morning and waiting around for them to draw their weapons. Then we made our way to the gym to visit a little more and say our goodbyes. I did not get to see him board the buses, but I really didnt want to hang around much longer. I thought I was going to get emotional there at the end but I guess I am one of those Army wifes that will let it out in a week or two HA. Nathan went CRAZY when he saw Jamie's 'gun guns' He wanted to hold the big gun gun so bad, but I would not even let him go near that monster HA I feel great though! Of course the hubby is away on a business trip over seas, but I know he is in good hands and will be coming home. He wont have communication for 3 weeks maybe more but as soon as he starts taking pictures I will post them here for everyone to see.

New Visiter

The neighbors cat Matrix came over tonight to say hello to Mr. J
I told Jamie that Mr. J was probably telling Matrix how crazy life was inside the house with a two year old. Or Matrix might have been asking Mr. J to ask me if he could come in and play.

Nate's Space

I finally got around to figuring out a situation where Nate can do some of his art or toy/work things in a more organized area. He was so excited when he saw me setting it up. As soon as I opened his space he went to work moving from one to the other.

I Batman

We went to Walmart yesterday so that Jamie could show me what he wanted Nate to have for his birthday and Christams. Ofcourse browsing the isles we had to get Nate something now, so he picked out this batman mask. "I batman" is his response to everyone in the toy isle.
Today we had some friends over for a little Army Wife show BBQ like we usually do every Sunday. Nate had to bring out the "I batman" I giggle every time I see him wear this mask.

Date Shift

Picture Day

Well I went to the dentist today and all was well except for a little cavity. Been running around doing errands for Jamie on last minute packing list. Nate wanted his picture taken so I dressed him up and he had a blast. Then he wanted to take pictures of me. I kept laughing because I was trying to stay in the shot as much as I could and he was giggling.
