Happy Mothers Day 2013

My friends and I discovered The Blue Hole in the outer parts of Fort Polk and Jamie had never been so today was the day!
You drive a good 30 minutes down a road that is littered with danger signs for old grenades and live ammunition that litter the forest dating back from Vietnam War training. Nate couldnt stop talking about the wonder of what exactly is buried out in those woods."Nate if we get a flat tire you have to stay in the car" LOL
The Blue Hole is probably the closest to Oregon I can think of. The water is crystal clear and you can see the fish swimming all around. Maybe its too clear because we didnt get any bites but it was so nice to get away for some peace and quite. Last time I was there the water was very low so there is sand all the way around. Unfortunately Morgan couldnt play in it this time so we will have to come back later when it dries up a little.
After some fishing and walking the nature trail we hit the China Buffet for some yummy goodness.

 

Tex Turns 2 Years Old!!

Park Time

The weather has been so beautiful this year! Morgan loves to swing and gets really quite to the point it looks like he could fall asleep HA! There was a little girl that started to swing next to him and he giggled every time she passed him.
Nate loves it when Jamie spins him in the tea cup. 
When we got home we had home made milk shakes! 

Easter Eggs!

On Easter we decided to do something different this year! We made gold eggs along with our traditional colored eggs. Nate and Jamie worked really hard on just one egg and it took almost an hour HAHA!!

Happy Birthday To Meeeee

Its officially the big 30 and it snuck up on me so quick! These last four years have flown by with by with a move, two deployments and a new baby boy. I hope the next few years will slow down so I can catch up!
Today was a fabulous day spending time with the boys and Jamie.
 I got my hair cut and it was the best hair cut since I lived in Texas!!
Jamie made us dinner with my favorite seafoods. He even made my cake and did an awesome job! I forgot to make a wish so we had to re light them haha! 
When present time arrived Nate was so excited and kept telling me they were from both him and Jamie. Nate even made me an adorable card. 
It was a great 30th Birthday and I look forward to many more!

Into The Woods

I try to get Nate into the woods as much as possible. If he could he would turn into a yetty he loves the woods so much.
He found a very sparkly rock that he brought home and Morgan loved looking up into the tall trees. We saw a few different kinds of birdies and all kinds of sticks with termites on them. 
The pond water was brown so we didnt get to see any fishies but we had a wonderful time walking in the 'woods'

I am glad I am not the only one with the crazy hair in the mornings!

As mother says, ''Children are like little sponges'' while making dinner I noticed Morgan using my phone like Jamie. He even slides his fingers across the screen trying to figure it out. 

Nate loves to play basketball and is doing really good! Our weather dropped down to the 30s not to long ago and I was FREEZING at 47 but its so much fun watching him play. I put tape on the ground as markers for him to stand and they seemed to help out alot.
