Crazy Times

I have come to the realization that I really think I have more fun with Nate's toys then he does!
Then again, maybe its the Edwards genes sprouting out from inside of me.

Mama GUN GUN

Jamie left one of his gun brochures on the table and Nate discovered it.
"Ma ma......ma ma comeer!"
"Yes Nathan"
"Look! GUN GUN.....dangeeer ma ma dangeeer"
I agreed with him, but that was not enough...no....he wanted me to look him in the eyes so he could tell me again. I was trying sooo hard not to smile. What made it worse is that he then pointed to his eyes, "Ma ma no....look...ma ma look" So I looked him in the eyes and he said, "Danger mama daaaanger"
So that I would not bust out laughing at him being so serious I gave him a hug and said thank you, then he said, "thank you ok go...go" I walked away and he started pointing and counting the guns on the paper. That is when I snuck this picture.

Guard Dog

This is the neighbors boy Daniel. His daddy is in Iraq right now and his mommy comes over frequently to talk to him online.
Sylas has become VERY protective of this little boy. He follows him everywhere and cleans him regularly.
One of my neighbors friends came over to see Daniel. We had Daniel in the laundry room sleeping. (It was movie night) When they walked in there, Sylas lifted his head up and made this very quite and soft growl. I said, "Um.....ladies......um ladies.....HEY your disturbing his pup" They came back in from the room, shut the door. Sylas walked over and layed next to the door. I told them that with them walking really slowly into the dark room it did not look natural especially since Nathan runs around the house. He is used to fast movements HA HA. Talk about crazy!

Poor Hubby In The Rain

Jamie is out in the field right now, and this storm came rolling in. Its not one of the major ones we usually get, but it was enough to feel bad for him.
I had a vision of the movie Forest Gump, when he is out there in the woods and its down pouring on him.

*Tear*

The office for housing has all the stuff to make deployment ribbons for your door. They have all kinds of stamps and stickers in such to make it personal. I made this one for Jamie!!!!
I just through it up there, it needs a little fluffin HA HA HA

Through The Tunnels To Grandmothers House We Go

He has this method of hiding in this thing and then popping out of the top and making a dino sound! Daniel likes it too! Nathan was showing him the "danger gun gun" again. I was not aloud to touch his rifle yesterday because he said it would hurt me and it was dangerous. So he went and put it in his room. HA HA HA I love moments like that.......

Hurssy

He gets up every morning asking to ride Hurssy. This is a great way for me to get him to clean his room! (MUA HA HA HA)

Nate's New Horse (Gidee up!)

At first he was a little weirded out by it. He would put his fingers in the horses mouth and then act as if it bit him. I was surprised that he did not come out and scream, "HORSE" I asked what its name was and he kept saying, "no" so we are going to get creative and work on his name. When we picked it up at the WalMart he freaked out and started clapping his hands. It was hilarious! Once he got used to it he really took off and went crazy on it! He started yelling, "gidee up" Then he ran to his room and got his gun and wanted me to put it on him. A little cowboy! HA
Later, he wanted me to sit on the horse with him. He said, "Mommy, sit her" I basically stood there on the horse laughing my butt off while the neighbor and my sis-in law joined in.

The Garden

It still looks a little bare, but it does look bigger then the last pic I took. I go out everyday to clip the dead flowers off and that seems to help. They say that the two gardens are split personality. The one on the left is the more organized and calm looking garden. The one on the right is bright, crazy, and unorganized one. HA HA HA
I underestimated how big the grassy one with the tall stem with purple flowers on the end get. There are some planted at the rec center and they are HUGE! I am going to hve to transplant it next year probably.

Two Great Things

My second rose!!!!! I think the flower itself looks better then the last one! I am still trying to figure out how to keep them alive longer then 2 days. The penny does not seem to be working. Sylas does not like rawhide bones and consequently he has bad tarter on his teeth and bad breath. My neighbor brought over a bunch of bones that her dog was not using and Sylas is gobbling them up like candy. His breath does not smell nearly as bad anymore. YEA!

"Danger"

Its amazing how tacky your house can look when you have a two year old. We had a couple incidents with the goodies in the cubords, so we used those screw in latch things, but they would strip through the screw, so I found these that are a little more difficult. I also got something for the fridge. Nathan decided it would be fun to drink out of the milk carton in the living room. All I could invision was milk spilled all over the couches. Nate actually helped me put them on and then wondered why he could not get into the cubords. HA HA HA HA (evil laugh)

Bus

Nathan LOVES buses right now. I found a house where the owner keeps about 5 or 7 of them during the summer. They look brand new, so my neighbors and I thought it would be fun to take the kids there and see if they would let them get on the buses and walk around.
Anytime we pass the house Nathan practically screams, "MAMA BUS!!!!!"

Out To The Field Again

Jamie had to go over to a buddies house to get some more equipment. He cam through the door with this on. My neighbors were over at the time and we all started laughing. He drove all the way over to our house with it on because he could not get it off! It weighs between 55-60lbs and it is sooo heavy and sweaty.
A few days ago I was wearing it so he could add things to it. I told him I felt like a Christmas tree!
(You can see his red toe where they removed his toe nail for an ingrown toe nail.)

Nates Seat

I brought Nates camping chair in from the garage. We have a big black one that we call the 'gaming chair' Its used to sit in while people play the x-box. Nate thought it would be a good idea to bring it into the living room and sit in while he watches his cartoons.

Another Step Closer

Well I filled out my financial aid paperwork today for NWSU! I am more excited now then I was even just a few days ago. I cant wait to get started and jump right in! I am actually looking forward to burring my nose in some books again. I am so ready for a career change, and the opportunities that await me with this degree!
I have to call today to find out when Spring 2009 sign up begins. There is a waiting list for day-care here, and I need to get on the list ASAP! The good news, is that Nate will be in day-care for a month or two then begins his Head Start schooling in April. So 'mommy' will be going to school while he is at school! Too bad I wont get to ride a yellow bus. HA

I just found out today that I am a .........SOPHMORE!!!!!!!! The school credited me 36 hours from my previous college. All I could do is cry! Can we all say that this is my opened door? HA HA HA

Perty Flower

Here is my first rose of the season! It took a few days to even start showing its first bud. Jamie is very happy to see it so healthy. I have been really taking care of it, and it shows!
Last night it had not even opened yet. This morning Nate and I were coming home from dropping Jamie off at work and I noticed a very strong perfume smell. I was looking around trying to figure out what plant was making the smell. I must have been still half asleep because there it was! Fully opened and smellin up the whole front porch! I was so excited, so Nate helped me cut it and bring it inside.
Jamie says its the roses from him that keep on giving all year long. HA HA HA

Poor Sy

Well a little over a week ago, I put some Frontline on Sylas for fleas and ticks. Its a reutine that we have done since he was a puppy.
Well this time, it irritated his skin and caused a yeast bacteria build up on his fur and skin. Jamie and I noticed this same problem on our Pit Bull that we had back in Clarksville. Dr. K in Clarksville gave him off brand fungus foot cream.
So remembering that, I shaved and cleaned the area, got some foot cream and put it on his shoulders, and sure enough it looks 50% better then before.
I am going to keep an eye on it. If it gets worse then I will have to take him in for some antibiotics.

I finally did it!

I started getting so many emails locally for fish that I got tired of emailing and attaching pics for one email at a time.
