Mr Jingles has made a complete comeback! I would not say a 100% because he has not started kitten biting again, but thats just fine by me ha ha ha

Jamie got his slot as "Team Leader"!!!!!!!!!!! When he told me I was jumping up and down screaming. This whole thing must have been a deep secret plan from what he told me. I over heard a SGT talking to him about it when they were working on the computer.

I do have some concerns. The gunner is a female fresh out of basic training since just a month ago. I asked Jamie what her shooting scores in basic were and he said he is going to look at her chart soon. Im a little worried about this because that position is a dangerous job and he says she is pretty shy. I told him that i would like to meet her considering she will be partially protecting my husband. By doing this maybe it will ease my concerns. I need to have trust in these soldiers, but its hard when they have just come out of basic. Jamie has been training for this for over a year. I dont know maybe I am being too sensitive or judgmental.
All I know is that God will have his hand not only on Jamie but the whole team.

Please Pray For Mr. Jingles

Well I have not put anything on the blog about this because I did not know the outcome. I found some blood on the floor of the morning of the 21st. I figured it was Mr. J scratching Sylas' nose, but it was actually blood coming from Mr. Js nose. He was not acting himself at all. He would not move, and sat in the same spot all morning long. I feard that Sylas' had accidentely injured him so I took him to the vet and he had a temperature of 105 with a high red blood count which indicated an internal infection. The Doc gave me Amoxil to give him and said that he had a really bad cold.
I took him home and the second day he seemed to get worse. He seriously acted as if he had some kind of brain damage or spinal problem.
I actually talked to Jamie and was scheduling to have him put to sleep today or tomorrow, but he seems to be getting better each day. The dr. said that they will act sick especially since he is so young. I also read that even though its not a side effect of Amoxil they can act tired and groggy. I cried and prayed that my little fuzzy guy would bounce back and hopefully this was just a terrible virus that was effecting him.
He threw up the evening dose of the 22nd and the morning of the 23 he would come to me when called, rub his cheeks against my hands and knees, clean himself, and even bat at toys again like kittens are supposed to. The morning of 23 through he started to go back into his old ways once I gave him his meds again. So clearly this medicine makes him really sleepy and slighty druggy acting. I brought him out of the laundry room and set him on one side of the apartment and ran to the other side this morning and he briskly walked to me. Sylas even came over and started sniffing and licking on him. Sylas layed down and Mr. J went right up under his chin and curled up into a little ball and fell asleep again.
The good news is that he is using the litter box, eating very well, and walks just fine.

All By Myself

Nathan can get up onto his swing set all by himself! The sea saw was never an issue, but the actual swings were always tuff for him to get on. He must have grown since GGE visit because he does not need a boost anymore.

Nate, Jamie, Gun Gun

Our SGT neighbor brought out a pellet 'gun gun' so Nate could shoot. Nathan LOVES guns so much! He gets so excited when he sees one. He loves to hold them, shoot them, and look through the eye piece.

My First Garage Sale

I had my first garage sale on Saturday. It took 3 days to get it all organized and together. Now I know what people mean when they say that garage sales are alot of work. Business was boomin in the morning with a couple near the noonish time. I went ahead and closed early because it started sprinkling and there was showers possibly expected. I am probably going to do it again in a couple weeks. My friends came over and surprisingly Jamie hung out in the garage on and off throughout the morning. He was a big helping in watching Nate and bringing me ice water tee hee hee. In the morning when I went to set the signs out he stayed out there until I got back. When I drove up I see husband and dog sitting there in the garage. I laughed and said, "you know honey with a dog like that here in the garage I think you might scare some customers away." Then he said, "Oh I was saving the customers for you." HA
Nathan helped me count the 'monies' afterward. He fed his monkey very well.
It was a fun experience and I look forward to setting another one up soon.

Lemon Hole Cake

White cake
3 small packs of lemon jello
1 medium pack of lemon jello instant pudding
1 can of lemon pie filling
medium tub of cool whip



Bake a white cake (I accidentily used yellow)
When cake is done and still hot, poke holes in it with the base of a wooden spoon (lots of holes!) While jellatin mixture is hot, pour jellatin mixture over the top (it will soak into the cake quickly) Place cake into fridge for 3 hours
Mix the instant lemon pudding and place in fridge until its thick
When pudding is thick (usually 5 minutes) mix it with cool whip, and the can of lemon pie filling, into a large bowl (Use an electric beater for best results) then place back in the fridge until the cake is done with its 3 hours
After 3 hours, pour cool whip mixture over the top of the cake, serve, and enjoy!

Working Together

Jamie has been working on his corispondant courses to make next rank hopefully by the middle of next year. Nate likes to sit and work on puzzles or color right next to him.

Daniel Comes To Visit

My neighbor had a medical appointment this morning so Daniel came over to play this morning. They enjoyed watching Barney (she just about had a heart attack with that one) and playing with Sylas' toys and watching the fishies.

A New Bond

Well Mr Jingles has officially been released from the safety of the laundry room to roam this past week. Sylas has been doing VERY good with him. Mr Jingles loves to get right underneath Sylas' neck and play with him. Sylas' reaction usually consists of licking him so much that Mr. Jingles looks like he fell in a bucket of water. Found them both fast asleep tonight and quickly took a picture! Nathan still has to be under supervision with him. He likes to stuff him down the sides of the recliner or bury him with pillows and blankets, so it will be awhile before he will be able to be 'let out of sight'

Jamie's Promotion

Dentist

Nate went to his first (overdue) dentist appointment today. I was so bummed because I brought my camera but forgot to take pictures. They said his teeth look really good except for a slight over bite due to sucking his thumb. They said there is really nothing we can do for it but give it time and maybe some braces when he gets older. He did good for the most part. The balloon he received at the end was his favorite part.

Mr. Jingles Is Home

Before church and after church Nate was ready to play with Mr. Jingles. He LOVES his new kitty!
Sylas is also doing very well.
He is settling in fast and becoming more comfortable being away from his mommy and siblings.
