Here is a picture of a doe and her baby outside the kitchen window and mom and dads house. Usually its surrounded by little 'munk chips' they are so cute and are learning that when grandma is out there they are going to get fed.

Got a knock at my door this morning and it was a package from Jamie! A beautiful hand made drink set from Iraq! I LOVE IT! Thank you husband!

Good Dog Sy

Well Sylas is done with his eye medication and his eye is fine. He is like a cat and would lick his paws and rub his eyes and face so he had that greesy film on his head so today was a good day for a bath. Sy hates the water but has always enjoyed hopping into the tub. Afterwards he ran around like a chicken with his head cut off in the backyard.

BlackBerry Cake

So I was in the mood for a berry cake and decided to make my first one! I was baking it last night while Nate was asleep and the smell woke him up. He comes into the living room sniffing the air and says, "Mom I smell baking" I laughed and he started giggling.

Fresh Sand

Nate loves his sand box so much! It was getting low so I added another bag this morning. I think I am going to have Jamie build him a larger wooden one with a lid. This one looks like its getting a little small for him. He can spend hours in this sand box building all kinds of things.

Formation Soldier!

Nate woke up early this morning saying, "Moma I want to be a soldier like dada" So I got the ACU outfit out for him.
He is getting more and more excited about Jamie to come home.

Orchard Boy

I was doing dishes when I noticed sugar bear out there picking apples off the tree. It was so cute seeing him looking for the perfect ones (any of them in his eyes) and placing them in his little bucket. After filming I went out there and helped him go through them to find the 'good ones' He was very proud of his findings. Then we saved the best ones and I let him peel the others. After I took the pic of him peeling he said, "That was a good pic mom" I guess he is into the serious photo faces. Since Grammy likes green apples we are going to take them to her house.

Saltwater aquariums are extremely sensitive to the silicones, phrosphates and heavy metals in our tap water so I have to fill jugs up from the water machines at the grocery store. Well they do have units that you can buy called RO/DI systems to remove EVERYTHING from your tap water so its safe for the fish tank. Some also use it for their own drinking water Found this photo from a fellow reefer and now I look at my faucit in the kitchen thinking, "mmmm yummy sludge" HA
"God made dirt so dirt dont hurt" right?

The Perfect Cup Wrap

Well another move another idea...when you move dont you hate how you have dishes left in the sink that are dirty and the boxes are dissapearing onto the moving truck? Well we always seemed to have that problem and ended up packing some dirty dishes. BLA not fun! So this time I decided to get some plastic cups, bowls, and plates to re-wash and pack all our kitchen stuff!
I have mastered the proper cup wrap oh ya MUA HA HA HA

Poor Fry Has A Green Eye

For the past couple days I notice Sylas was blinking more then usual in his left eye. I checked it out but could not see anything wrong with it. Well it starting getting gooey this morning so I took him into better lighting and there it was....I nice big scratch on his eye. So he went to the vet today. They dyed his eye green with fluoresceine the same stuff that they dye the St pattys river!
so they could see where it was and he now has 2 medications to take daily for a few days. I cant imagine how uncomfortable it is. Poooooor fry

Prineville Fair 2009!

We all went to the fair Saturday in Prineville. What a great day it was! We got there and looked at all the animals. Pigs, goats, sheep, cows, rabits, chickens no horsies this time :( but I got to pet a cow!!! All the 4-H kids did a fantastic job. They were very helpful in explaining to us about their animals. Asking us if we wanted to pet them. They even made their own little signs that showed their ribbons and their animals name. It was very creative and well done. Nate had a blast on some of the rides. Mom and I went on some scramble thing. Ugh its been too long since I have been on a ride HA. Mom and Dads neighbors happened to be there and Nate was able to go on a few rides with them. They really enjoyed that. Stopped by the sheep rides to see the competition. They created shutes just like the original size bull and horse shuts! The kids were hilarious holding on for deer life.

7 Moves in 6 Years!

Procrastination is very bad when your moving. I have learned this over the moves in the past. You learn how to pack, what to pack, what not to pack, and when to pack. Though I have not yet gotten the whole concept of packing a truck properly the box packing I think has come a long way. Jamie wont be here until the middle of september but I wanted to get this all done so I dont have to worry about it later. I still remember the time we packed all our stuff from Deridder LA to move on post. It was only a couple weeks until Christmas and I had no boxes. We litereally put all our stuff in a moving truck as is. Now with boxes saved up from the move up here and plenty of time to pack I can ensure that everything has its own cozy spot. I was able to get free newspaper rolls at the local newspaper and they have been awesome! Also got the 2 coolers and Nate helped me cut egg crate and get the sections all ready for the saltwater coral.

New Camera Option!

I found what looked like a coral eating slug in my tank so I had to take it out and take pictures of it to have people confirm what it was (it wasnt so I killed an innocent algae eating slug) Well I have no idea how I did it but there was an option for a more closer photo and so I was able to take some really cool pics! Enjoy!
