Another Furry Friend

Well I did some more research and found out that rats dont like to be alone. So Nate and I headed to the pet store again and got a white one this time. He doesnt have a name yet, but we are working on it.

High Desert Museum

What a great museum! Great Grandma and Grandpa E came down for a visit and we took a trip to the High Desert Museum. There were all kinds of artifacts, birds of prey, snakes, otters, fish, and people dressed up and talking as if they are living in the time line. There was a pen of chickens near a cabin and Nate was having fun giving them grass. At the end of the trip there was this big spider looking thing. Well you can guess since Nate loves spider man this was a dream to him.

Bouncy

I thought it was cute to see Nate in his church clothes bouncing on this ball with his tie flapping everywhere.

Spider Cone Project

Nate enjoyed a bird feeder pine cone project on Friday. He eventually got it all covered and we took it over to grandma and grandpas house but before any birds could notice where it was, Sylas was enjoying a crunchy peanut butter snack. HAHA
So we are going to make another one next week. Nate calls them spider cones because the fishing line that we use to hang them up has a spider on the box.

Dirty Face

Nate had fun playing back behind the shed where there is alot of that fine dusty dirt. It caught in his eye brows and made them darker HAHAHAHA.

Shhhhhh Nemo is Sleeeeeping

Now that things are growing and getting bigger the clown fish (Nemo) is finally starting to take advantage of these nice snuggly spots. He has chosen the fuzzy neon mushrooms as his home. Nathan noticed it and told me to be quite because Nemo was sleeping. He said, "Mom thats his bed mom, I have a bed, you have a bed, dada have a bed, Nemo have a bed" Then I said, "Dont forget Sylas he has a bed too" "Oh yea yea mom Sylas has a bed"

Close Call

When we lived in Louisiana I had a ton of pictures on my computer that I never got around to developing. Well my computer died on me and I lost all of them so from there on out I started developing photos once a month or every other month.
Well I have to admit I have not done it in a long time. Couple days ago the power flickered on and off. The fish tanks where going crazy and my computer made a weird noise. I sat there starring at it praying my heart out that my pictures were not gone again. Whats even worse is I was telling my friend Bobbi just the day before about how I needed to get them done before something happened to my computer.
Luckily after a few minutes the computer came back on. So I sat down and spent a few hours working on all these 311 pictures!!!!!!!!! And that was after i deleted a good 40-50 misc pics. So they are all off and should be at my door at the end of next week.
With all this extra space on the computer it should run faster.

At it again

Well I was in the mood for making Nate a hot lunch since I did not make a hot breakfast, so I was searching in the cubord and saw the remainder of the flour tortillas from the other night.
Then I found a pack of hickory smoked tuna. So my brain started racing and my tummy started growling and i came up with an idea. TUNA MELT!!!!!






Hickory smoked tuna fish
small blob of cream cheese
freshly chopped green or red bell pepper
freshly chopped onion
salt n pepper
shredded cheese (make sure its an artery clogging layer)

Let them simmer inside the tortillas for about 1-2 minutes and wala!
After Nate ate his he wanted to clean the kitchen. Maybe I should feed him tuna fish more often

Black is So Much Better

I have had this 55 gallon tank for about 8 years now and have never had a back on it. I meant to paint it before setting it up the last time but forgot. So I decided to get a paper backing and try it. Ohhhh it sure does looks much better then without. Im also trying some hardy live plants and so far so good. I just have to stay away from the delicate ones. :)
You can see the row of fish there in the front starring at me. I think they are waiting to be fed HA!

Steak or Chicken Quesadillas

My favorite mexican dish is chicken or steak quesadillas. I have never made them before and I thought it would be fun to try. The smell of onions and steak filled the room and Nate could hardly wait to eat them. Hey look Jamie! Now we dont have to eat just tacos anymore!
I have been experimenting with new recipes since you have been gone so you will have an all new menu to choose from. :)

Papa & Nate Project

Well the hang on the back of the tank skimmer always made me nervous. All that weight and pressure on the back glass hmmmm I dont know I dont want to risk it, so dad and Nate made me a stand to support all the weight. YEA no more fear of broken tanks! HA

Happy Easter!!!!

Nate was shocked that an Easter bunny was in his room! He asked me if I had seen him HAHA We had a good church service, came home and made a yummy lunch. I made some deviled eggs mmmmmmm

Pre Easter Fun

Nate is getting geared up for his first big Easter. Last year he had fun hunting for eggs, but we did not do any egg coloring. So when he saw all these colorful bubbling stinky colors he got excited! I think PAAS is getting better with their egg coloring kits. Back in the day I remember our eggs sitting forever in this stuff and still coming out pastel. Now they are so bright you can stop traffic with them! We tried putting the tattoo sticker things on them but it did not work. :( So Nate had fun trying to stick them to himself. Hey if anyone knows of some good ideas for re-using these PAAS cups let me know. I figured sand box toys??

Spending time with Grandma

After Nate got out of school we went over to visit with Grandma. Nate discovered the fun vacume and was busy doing that for awhile, then Grandma surprised us with an early Easter art project. I was not too thrilled with mine but Nate had fun and he even made Something for Jamie!
