New Camo!

Husband got his new camo in! It looks so much better then their traditional ACU cam that they wear which is a very light cream and grey color. I guess this 'place' is more foresty with trees so they have to blend in more.

Veggie Garden Explosion

The veggie garden turned a little yellow while I was gone due to it not being fed. These things suck all the nutrients out of the dirt. Tomatoe plant though it looks scarry is still producing tomatoes. We got a couple baby pumpkins growing, green beans are sprouting, and a few stocks of corn have corn on them. I have learned my lesson that a pumpkin plant needs its own barrel and should be planted far away. We lost carrots and romain lettuce due to them going crazy. We also lost our strawberry plants and 2 green bell peper plants from the massive rain we got before the Texas trip. The tub got water logged for some reason.

With all the AC units going off in the background its hard to hear he he he. We are getting another load of sand this weekend to fill up the box again after the snake scare. Took out the grass along the sides and back to open it up more and prevent it from happening again. He got some new sand box toys that are enclosed in a toat so we dont have to worry about black widows either.

Tex and The Battle with Parvo

Tex has lost ALOT of weight. I call him yoda now due to his very thin face and ears sticking out. This is day 4 of the virus and he is up walking around running after the cat and wanting even more attention. Now I am allowed to start force feeding him food. Boiled chicken and rice and he gets the broth syringed few times a day. I have cared for this dog on the hour for 4 days now so making sure he eats so he doesnt starve is so important. He is able to keep his food and water down but its frustarting that he wont eat on his own. I guess you could say I am beginnning to get impatient and want him to be healthy already.

This has been a big lesson to NEVER NEVER NEVER get a puppy if they have not had any vaccines before 6 weeks.

The 2nd day of the virus when he was feeling almost his worst Ashes was showing signs of concern about him. He would jump the baby gate into the bathroom and paw at him and lick on his ear and poke at him. Then he would sit outside the door and watch him. We could always tell when Ashes was in there because we could here him jumping over the baby gate haha
