I cant believe I didnt do this sooner! I went with Lowes Valspar instead of cheap walmart paint. Black, no gloss, no primer. When I opened the can it looked Navy Blue so I was a little concerned but figured even if it was it would still look ok. The dab of paint they put on the can looked jet black. Once the first coat dried it was more of a black color. I also think my lighting has contributed to the color variation. I am so happy with the results. Not only does it hide the ugly equipment in the back but it intesifies the lighting and brings the coral colors out more. Very happy with the little project :)
I assure you that white light line you see is from the water level lowering not because I missed a spot HAHHA
