Flower Power

My spring/summer flowers and plants have died back and gone to sleep for the season so now it was time to get some fall flowers. This will be my first garden that I get to enjoy for all seasons!! So next year I will get to see my plants come back! I have purple, red, yellow mums and a bunch of different pansys. Put a few candy day decorations. The pumpkins are in the house because during the day it gets too warm around here and I already see people putting their pumpkins in the trash! Cant wait to carve them!
The fake crow that I had in the cowboy boots in the house had to go outside because the cats kept attacking it.
As always my gardens are always crammed with plants tee hee THERE MUST BE NO BARE SPOTS! haha
The 3 Hibiscus plants in the back have grown so much over the summer I wonder how big they will be next fall. They have been producing huge tropical flowers since spring and STILL are blooming non stop! I love those....

GOTCHA and GOTCHA # 2

The second one was caught recently but wasnt as nice as the first one :)

This lovely guy which the neighbor kids named Huckelberry was eating at the folks baby trees and killing them! With patience and alot of salted apples they finally caught him and re-located him. Hey mom...dont those things shoot out their quiles? LOL He really is cute I wish I was there to talk to him lol

Grillin

Serious Grill Face! Thanks to Nate

I love to grill! I am doing a rack of pork spare ribs to test a new seasoning system out. If its good enough we will be using it for Nates pork ribs on his birthday. Apple Wood chips for smoking, Apple Cider Vinegar, Brown Sugar, Apple Rub by Grill Mates I discovered that when working with spare ribs there is a membrane that covers them on the back that needs to be removed. Not sure if it goes the same with beef ribs? So that was removed along with a bunch of fat so they were nice and clean :) Poured some Apple Cider Vin and rubbed it in to open the pours of the meat allowing the seasoning in. Put a nice layer of the rub in but you DONT RUB IT IN. Then you put a layer of brown sugar on and wait for it to start melting on its own. I have no idea how it melts on its own that would be a question for a good person who listened in science class. Once it starts to melt good put another layer of rub it on there but remmeber dont rub it in dont even touch it! Then set the meat on the opposite side of the coals and start your Apple wood chips smoking.
Jamie went and got the BBQ sauce for me. I told him to get something that would go along with all this 'apple' seasoning. He got some Carolina which is a zesty, spicy, snap of mustard flavor that was AMAZING and completed this so much. It was AMAZING! Jamie and I were both shocked at how good this was! So good he even took some to the neighbors and his Seargant!!!! We WILL be making this again for Nates B Day but this time we will do 3 racks to have enough for everyone haha.....mom dad you better get your booties down here!

Which One??

We had to find a decent sward for this Ninja out fit especially with candy day just around the corner. So Sugar and I headed into Wally World to see what they had. I was surprised they only had 1 sword. This Nurf sward had to do so we got it and came home. Then we all went as a family to pick up some huge pumpkins that we were told about at the on post commissary (grocery store) these are the kinds of pumpkins you cant pass up! After that we decided to head back into town to get the husband his hair cut for next week.
Sug and I headed to the candy day isle to look for something to carry his goodies in.
Well what do ya know there it was gleaming like a shiny Red Ryder Bee Bee gun! This complete reall looking Ninja kit that is worn on your back and comes with 2 swards with real cloth wrapped around the handles and 2 other Ninja Turtle looking things. Nate freaked out! MOM MOM THIS IS WHAT THE NINJAS HAVE THIS IS IT I FOUND IT OH OH MOM ITS AMAZING...ITS BEAUTIFUL WE MUST GET IT WE MUST OHHHH ITS JUST BEAUTIFUL I CANT BELEIVE IT! (yes I know our child is dramatic)
So I said, "Yes Nate your right this is a complete set and you must get it so you can be the true Ninja!" So we grabbed it and scrambled to the cashier.
Nate takes it to Jamie to show him and Jamie gives me this look like I have spoiled this child waaaaay too much of course until I explained that the other sward would get returned tee hee.
He also got his glow sticks that he wears and he picked out a blue pumpkin bucket.
So Nate is ready to go! Twix look out mama is coming! OOps I mean candy look out Nate is coming!

Belated Brithday / Anny Prezzy

Jamie and I will be having our 6 year anny soon and he has his 30th b day not too long ago. So I surprised hubby with tickets to our favorite comedian known as the fluffy guy. We went to Chilis for dinner and enjoyed that very much! Chilis for us is like a 5 star place! Especially when you live in this town haha We had more time to kill so we went to Petco and looked at all the animals and dog toys. Jamie was scouting out the toys for our next dog some day. I think he wants another Sy really bad haha. Then we went to the Party City and looked at all the halloween stuff. I thought it would be a great opportunity to snag Nates costume in Shreveport so not every kid on the block would have the same one as him. Jamie picked it out and he also grabbed a door sign and I got Nate a little piece of candy and we headed out the door. We got lost in down town Shreveport but luckily found the place. Thank goodness we were an hour early even after all that shoppin. It was so weird to see him so close and listen to some of the same jokes that we heard on TV. I remember sitting on the couch with Jamie saying, "we have to go see him in person some day" The good thing about him is he does not say the same jokes from tv and in his shows. During the end he gave us a few 'classics' from tv but it was all new material. He does this to test it before he aires it which I think is great. Alot of comedians use the same TV/show material and it gets boring. We had a great time!
This morning when I showed Nate his present he snagged it from me and hugged it very close haha

Farm Is Growing!

I still keep pumpkins for Nate to harvest hahaha
By the way mom do you notice a specific animal in the first pic?
