Its Candy Day

Its tradition in our family that Nate and I clean the punkins out and Jamie carves the faces on them. Most of the time he thinks of them at the top of his head and I laugh because I think they are funny...in a good way ofcourse. 1 pumpkin this year I named, ''no comment'' Jamie said it was a cyclopse pumpkin. mmmkay

Something very interesting happened this year. All Nate could talk about what the pumpkin seeds and how he wanted to keep them so we could glue them on paper. He could care less about the carving or even trick or treating, he just wanted those seeds! He didnt even want to get his hands dirty in the goo. I think Jamie and I always have more fun with the pumpkins anywas tee hee

So Nate spent his time picking the seeds out so we will have an up-coming art project. :)

The trick or treating was crazy this year! If you ever remember the scene from ET where all the kids are out trick or treating?? Well that is what its like here on post but more like a football game just got out. Not only do the kids dress up but parents do to. Some of the houses even went all out with the decorations. Couple of houses had some really freaky people sitting with candy and I told Nate, "Trust me that candy is not worth it" Nate didnt care he walked right up and got some. "Its fake mom dont worry" Jamie and I laughed at that. Jamie wanted to take Nate all over the neighborhood (I think he was on the hunt for snickers) but I had been feeling ill all day so decided to cut through the grass and call it quits.

Though a few things I found odd and disturbing, everyone has their own traditions and ways of celebrating or not celebrating this 'event' Here at our house our mission on 'candy day' is to create the best artistic pumpkins, dress up in your favorite character, and be on the look out for Twix, Snickers, Reeces, and Hersheys. .....then hit the gym the following week :)

Escape Artist

Ashes and Remmy frequently like to try and escape from the front door if its opened for too long. Ashes was knocking at the neighbors back door the other day. The neighbor said their dog and him were chasing each other around the yard. Ashes likes dogs its very very funny! Remmy was in the front yard just wondering around. This was becuase Nate had left the back door opened. The neighbor was going to keep Ashes until his wife told him he was ours. So to detour anyone from 'snatching' my fuzzy children I have decided to put collars and tags on them. Ashes is the first to go official with just the collar. Tags will come later.

GG Visit Fall 2010

The Grammy and Popi AKA Mosha and Fasha are coming down in 14 days! To celebrate this exciting countdown I asked Nate to tell me 14 things to draw. I think my favorite is when he told me to draw a fish....ok....then he told me to draw a catfish so I added whiskers hahahaha After Nate decorated them with stickers and colored them he helped me cut the string and hung them up on a hanger. Its the GG Countdown Mobile!!! Each day one will be removed until the last one is left!

The Fat and the Demanding

Ok its kitten pic time..... With the daily Temptation cats treats I think Ashes has taken the blunt of the result. Ashes has always sat like a human on the floor. Well Remmy has picked this up and it caught Jamie by surprise last night. "Tiff...why do the cats sit like humans?"....."because they are human" LOLOLOL They are still banned from our bedroom due to Remmy's anoying behavior and Ashes playing with the door stopper in the bathroom at 2:00am Ashes has gotten very smart and sneaky. He somehow knows when we start heading up the stairs to go to bed and Ahes will bolt so fast up the stairs and run down the hall hes standing in the doorway flicking his tail when we get to the top of the stairs as to say...."ha ha I beat ya'll" Remmy on the other hand does werid things.....creepy things.....he likes to sit and stare at blank walls and ceiling corners. Grammy and Papa are coming to visit so I think we will let the eye lid licker and the door jam jingler in their room at night MUA HA HA HA
