We all had a blast! I made my first punch! Nate got all kinds of goodies to play with and we had all kinds of food. Our sugar bear is 5 ohhh how they grow up so fast

Terrible Thing That MUST Go

Since my lovely tank started back in Bend Oregon I always noticed a little brown piece of something growing on my rock in one spot. Well that one small spot and exploded all over my tank. Its a form of algae called Lobophora and it kills coral if you let it spread and covers your pretty rock. Here is a pic of my beautiful rock beginning to get covered in this terrible nasty stuff. So after spending countless hours trying to figure out what it was (no one knew) I finally found a few people that have the same stuff. They have it in their tanks alot worse then me :( What gets rid of it? A Naso Tang so I have one coming in on Tuesday to do his worst he he he I will have to post some before and after pics :)

Only 7 more days til GG 2010!!!!!!

Nates B Day party is Saturday and we are expecting a house full! Then GG are only a few days away! Nate is still working on his count down. :) Got my coral order in today yea! People can buy it but I wont be shipping any of it until we get back from Texas. I went to Walmart for a punch bowl for Nates b day. Well I decided to do a little Nate Christmas shopping too and found some things that he had asked for. One item was a cactus....yes a live cactus no joke so I found one of those bright red star cactus. Its hiding in a window where he wont find it. Then due to Erika's Christmas Decorating virus spirit making its way to Louisiana I snagged some of these cute decorations I just HAD to have.

YEA

Now that is what I call low stock! The business is closed until Nov 21st so I have not made any new orders and am pretty much sold out. I only have a couple more orders to fill tomorrow and then the official day of vacation begins! WOOOHOOO
Last night the Fosha helped me construct a smaller box for some of my orders. They worked out perfect! Nate enjoyed wearing the smaller boxes. I called him 'box boy'

Its Candy Day

Its tradition in our family that Nate and I clean the punkins out and Jamie carves the faces on them. Most of the time he thinks of them at the top of his head and I laugh because I think they are funny...in a good way ofcourse. 1 pumpkin this year I named, ''no comment'' Jamie said it was a cyclopse pumpkin. mmmkay

Something very interesting happened this year. All Nate could talk about what the pumpkin seeds and how he wanted to keep them so we could glue them on paper. He could care less about the carving or even trick or treating, he just wanted those seeds! He didnt even want to get his hands dirty in the goo. I think Jamie and I always have more fun with the pumpkins anywas tee hee

So Nate spent his time picking the seeds out so we will have an up-coming art project. :)

The trick or treating was crazy this year! If you ever remember the scene from ET where all the kids are out trick or treating?? Well that is what its like here on post but more like a football game just got out. Not only do the kids dress up but parents do to. Some of the houses even went all out with the decorations. Couple of houses had some really freaky people sitting with candy and I told Nate, "Trust me that candy is not worth it" Nate didnt care he walked right up and got some. "Its fake mom dont worry" Jamie and I laughed at that. Jamie wanted to take Nate all over the neighborhood (I think he was on the hunt for snickers) but I had been feeling ill all day so decided to cut through the grass and call it quits.

Though a few things I found odd and disturbing, everyone has their own traditions and ways of celebrating or not celebrating this 'event' Here at our house our mission on 'candy day' is to create the best artistic pumpkins, dress up in your favorite character, and be on the look out for Twix, Snickers, Reeces, and Hersheys. .....then hit the gym the following week :)
